Men’s Lacrosse

The Scots carry a 3-3 record into the first week of conference play, riding on strong performances from first-year players. Goalkeeper Jay Gallipo ‘20, a CCC Defensive Player of the Week, has allowed just 35 goals in 6 games. Some of the more experienced players, meanwhile, have powered the offense: Nick Palandjian ‘18 leads the CCC in goals with 19. Curry and WNE are up next for the men.

Women’s Lacrosse

Olivia McCarrick ‘19 paces all conference players with 27 goals, along with a team-leading 14 assists. The team gathered an impressive close win over Lasell on March 21 to move to 4-3 and gain momentum heading into important conference games. The defense will need to lock it down, having allowed at least 11 goals in each of the last three games.

The softball team may have returned from its Spring Break trip with a 3-7 record, but there are a number of bright spots early on. Carleigh Petersen ‘17 is batting .367, while Megan Jenkerson ‘19 has already hit three home runs. Caitlin Catalanatto ‘20 has been a force on the mound, with a 2.35 ERA in seven appearances. The Scots will need depth, however, as the schedule features more double-headers.

After a strong start over spring break, the Scots are suffering through a four-game losing streak to sit at 3-7 overall. On offense, Dean Demers ‘17 leads the team in average (.467), RBI (7) and extra-base hits (4). Christian Hodge ‘19 has also been a main contributor on offense. The pitching staff has been led by Morgan Hyde ‘20 leads the team in ERA (3.75) and has also collected a win and a save. Conference play begins April 1.

Men’s Tennis

Mason Casady ‘18 garnered Gordon Athlete of the Week honors after he scorched the competition over spring break. Casady went 9-1 in all matches and undefeated in singles play. The team as a whole went 4-1 during the trip and begins conference play on a run of strong tennis. Nate Lookwhy ‘19 was 4-1 in singles play and has settled into second singles behind Casady.
