Men’s Basketball
Following Conference losses to Endicott and Roger Williams, the Scots bounced back with victories over Wentworth and UNE to move to 11-6 in the CCC. Forward Garrisson Duvivier ’19 has led the team in scoring for six straight games, averaging 21.0 ppg. Jake Haar ’19 continues to lead the CCC in 3-pt percentage (54.8%). A win over Salve Regina in the regular season finale gave them home-court in the first round of the playoffs (Feb. 21, vs. Wentworth). The Scots battled against Wentworth, and while they were able to tie with five minutes left in the second half, the Scots fell short, the final score 82-75.
Women’s Basketball
Gordon (5-13 CCC) is making an impressive conference tournament appearance after several years away. Guard Meghan Foley ’20 has been key to the resurgence, averaging 14.3 ppg and winning CCC Rookie of the Week Honors in early February. Sarah Gibbs ’20 is fourth in the conference with 7.5 rebounds per game. They couldn’t break a 5-game losing streak against Salve Regina on Saturday, Feb. 18, but were able clinch the #8 seed and traveled to UNE on Tuesday, Feb. 21. A hard fought battle on Tuesday did not end in the Scots favor as UNE grabbed the W, 73-58.
Swimming
After two wins in a tri-meet with Saint Joseph’s and Husson, women’s swimming headed to NEISDA championships on a roll, and the success continued. School records were broken throughout, including Alexa Bragg ’18, Amber Collard ’20, Megan David ’19, and Caris Lyons ’19 in the 400 free relay. Collard also set the College record in the 50 meter butterfly. For the men, Dean Drukker ’17 posted consistent top-ten finishes, including in the 200 free.
